Sally was the Operations Manager at Human and Hope Association in Cambodia and worked tirelessly to train the staff and initiate projects to ensure their sustainability. Sally is passionate about helping people realise their abilities. As a result, she left Human and Hope Association in July 2016 to be entirely Khmer operated. Sally lead our board from 2013 – 2019, and made the transition to CEO in July 2019.
Sally’s manifesto, ‘It’s Not About Me’ is published by Elephant House Press and details her time living in Cambodia and the realisation that voluntourism is a problem, not a solution.
Sally holds a BBus in Management and Human Resources from the University of Newcastle.
Paige believes strongly in empowering individuals and providing access to education and training in order to alleviate poverty. She has experience in both financial and operational roles across a range of organisations.
Paige holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and is currently studying a Master of Business Administration (Not-for-Profit Management/Project Management).
Jessica is passionate about working towards an equal and fair world for all. As an Australian-Vietnamese, she is humbled by the life of her parents and is often engaged in discussions of race, identity and privilege.She has worked in the fields of migration, gender and child protection, and recently worked at the Royal Commission into Child Sexual Abuse.
She is currently based in Brussels, exploring the field of international human rights space.
Jessica holds a Masters in Human Rights Law and Policy from the University of New South Wales. She also volunteers as our Research Coordinator.
Simon is a keen advocate for human rights and is passionate about enabling those around him to reach their full potential in making our world a better place for all. He believes in the power of dialogue and connection and is on a professional, academic and personal journey regarding the positive power of communication and compassion.
Simon holds a number of bachelor and post-graduate degrees and recently completed his Masters in Human Rights. He hopes to assist the board in their duties with his theoretical and practical knowledge gained from his studies and from his public service career in the justice and humanities fields, as well as his drive to promote true sustainability and self-determination.
The Managing Director of Human and Hope Association Cambodia, Thai is a founding member of the organisation. He brings great passion, intelligence and reason to our team.
Thai’s role on the HHA Inc. board is to instruct other board members if anything they do is not within HHA’s mission, or is culturally inappropriate.
Thai holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Build Bright University. He is currently undertaking an MBA.
