Sally Hetherington OAM
CEO
Sally was the Operations Manager at Human and Hope Association in Cambodia and worked tirelessly to train the staff and initiate projects to ensure their sustainability. Sally is passionate about helping people realise their abilities. As a result, she left Human and Hope Association in July 2016 to be entirely Khmer operated. Sally led our board from 2013 - 2019, and made the transition to CEO in July 2019.
Sally's manifesto, 'It's Not About Me' is published by Elephant House Press and details her time living in Cambodia and the realisation that voluntourism is a problem, not a solution.
Sally holds a BBus in Management and Human Resources from the University of Newcastle.

Suzannah Mackey
Treasurer
Suzie has a keen interest in capability and capacity building within disadvantaged communities. She has 20 years’ business and financial management experience including with remote communities. She believes in passing on her knowledge to others so as to empower them to achieve their goals and build their confidence.
Suzie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and is currently studying for a Master of Business Administration.

Helene Do
Secretary
Helene has held senior executive roles in customer services for 30 years working for Technology companies across Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan.

Kobie Olsen
Non-Executive Director
A Chemical Engineer by degree, traveller and triathlete by passion and Business Strategist in work!
Living in Far North Queensland, Brisbane and now Perth, Kobie loves travelling both within and outside of Australia and immersing herself in local communities.
After travelling throughout the world and noting the challenges low-income countries face in empowering and educating children in local communities, Kobie is passionate about using her strategic corporate experience to support and empower women, and provide education to all in an effort to drive themselves out of poverty.

Angela Stansfield
Director of Fundraising
Angela’s full-time job involves managing partnerships and fundraising across five hospitals in the South Western Sydney Local Health District. Angela is passionate about helping people who need it, and works closely with people experiencing homelessness in Australia, supplying food and necessities.
Angela joined the Human and Hope board as it aligns with her passion for overseas development, and helping whole families to thrive.
Angela holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce from the University of Western Sydney and is currently studying an MBA in Management at the same university. She plans to undertake a PHD, focusing on research in the humanitarian and philanthropy sectors.

Thai San
Cambodian Advisor
The Managing Director of Human and Hope Association Cambodia, Thai is a founding member of the organisation. He brings great passion, intelligence and reason to our team.
Thai's role on the HHA Inc. board is to instruct other board members if anything they do is not within HHA's mission, or is culturally inappropriate.
Thai holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Build Bright University. He is currently undertaking an MBA.
