Sally Hetherington will tell you she was once a voluntourist. The Northmead woman who has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) as part of the Queen’s Birthday honours moved to Cambodia in 2011 to help street children. “I fell in love with the country but I realised I was going about things the wrong way,” she said.
