Join us for a conversation between Bruce Djite, Director of Football at Adelaide United, and Thai San, Managing Director at Human and Hope Association Cambodia.

Together they will discuss all things football, what inspires them and their mutual passion for sustainable community development.

This event is moderated by Edd Simpson and hosted by Human and Hope Association Inc, a registered Australian charity.

About Bruce Djite

Bruce has a distinguished professional football career that spanned 5 countries across 3 continents, and is of course the all time leading top scorer for Adelaide United.

Ex Socceroo, Olyroo and all round legend of Adelaide United, helping them win the Premiership and Championship double in 2015-2016. Off the pitch, Bruce is the Director Of Football at Adelaide United spent 4 years on the PFA Executive Committee, has spent time with the media at Fox Sports and managed to fit in a Bachelor of Business degree at Griffith University.

We’re also proud to say Bruce is an Ambassador for Human and Hope Australia.

About Thai San

Thai is the co-founder and Managing Director of Human and Hope Association, a locally-run community centre in rural Siem Reap, Cambodia. Having grown up in poverty, not starting school until he was 10 years old, Thai understands the power of education in overcoming poverty.

Thai leads a team of 15 staff who run education, vocational training and community development programs with the aim of taking 272 families out of poverty, for good.

We at Human & Hope want to see a world where communities experiencing poverty are empowered and developed through locally driven initiatives. We raise funds to support a locally-run community centre in Cambodia, enabling them to run their own projects with their local expertise.
